Amanda Harris, Miss Orlando 2012, is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations. After living in Orlando for almost four years, the City Beautiful has rapidly become her home. Amanda has served on Mayor Dyer's "Why I Love Orlando" committee to come up with ways to increase Orlando's sense of community past tourism. Amanda also works in entertainment at one of Orlando's most visited spots, Walt Disney World.
Amanda's biggest passion is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She is currently an intern at Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network Hospitals where she does pretty much anything they need to ensure successful fundraising and awareness for the cause. She was also the Recruitment Director for UCF's Knight-Thon, a Dance Marathon benefitting CMNH. After participating in Knight-Thon all four years of college, Amanda's career goal is to become the National Director for Dance Marathon benefitting CMNH where she plans to motivate college students nationwide to develop a personal connection with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and the little miracle children and their families who's lives are being saved by the money we raise!
